SEGA has released a story trailer for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

The release of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, a new spinoff in the Yakuza (Like a Dragon) series, is coming soon. Publisher SEGA and developers Ryu Ga Gotoku have released a story trailer for the game, which will feature the one-eyed Goro Majima, familiar from the previous installments of the franchise.

According to the plot, after the events of the previous parts, he lost his memory and ended up in Hawaii and decided to become a pirate. The protagonist will assemble his own team of pirates (the franchise's familiar characters will be available as pre-order bonuses) and will engage in typical pirate activities on a sailing boat: robbing other boats.

In addition to the traditional combat system we've already talked about, the game will feature Assassin's Creed: Black Flag-like naval combat mechanics. The release of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be released on February 20, 2025 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
