The exact date of the start of sales of the Google Pixel 9a smartphone has been announced
As was repeatedly reported last year, Google's new cheapest smartphone, Pixel 9a, will be released earlier than its predecessors. Traditionally, the model is announced during Google I/O, but the new basic version will receive an upgrade ahead of the usual schedule.
Android Headlines, citing its own sources, reports that pre-orders can be expected to start on March 19, and the devices will start arriving at customers and retailers a week later on March 26.
Google Pixel 9a with 128 GB storage will cost $499, and with 256 GB - $599. An additional $50 will have to be paid by those wishing to have a model from Verizon with mmWave support.
According to previous leaks, the new model will feature a flatter back cover with no camera protrusion, as well as the largest battery capacity in Pixel history - 5,100 mAh. At the same time, the gadget will retain its 8.9 mm thickness, although it will become taller and wider. The main camera unit will include a wide-angle Samsung ISOCELL GN8 sensor with 48 MP and ƒ/1.7, as well as an ultra-wide-angle Sony IMX712 sensor with 13 MP and ƒ/2.2.
The display will have a diagonal of 6.28 inches, a resolution of 2424×1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 2,700 cd/m². The Pixel 9a will also feature last year's Tensor G4 chip, as in other current models, and 8GB of LPDDR5X.
There are four case colors to choose from: Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris and Peony.
Unfortunately, there is no information on the official presence of Google Pixel smartphones in Ukraine.
