Konami, the publisher of the Silent Hill 2 remake by Bloober Team, has announced that the game has sold more than 2 million copies. This result was achieved in a little more than 3 months after the release, which took place on October 8, 2024.
According to Konami, the game passed the 2 million copies sold mark on January 23, 2025. The publisher takes into account physical and digital copies of the game sold for PC via Steam and on PlayStation 5.
In addition to good sales, Silent Hill 2 has also garnered a lot of positive reviews, including a review by Mezhda, where the game received a 9.5 rating. On Metacritic, the game has an average score of 9.2 from players and 86 from critics. On another review aggregator, Opencritic, the game has an average score of 90 from players and 87 from critics.
Shortly after the release, the developers of the Silent Hill 2 remake, Bloober Team, announced their next project, the survival-horror Cronos: The New Dawn. The game will be released in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S and will have an official Ukrainian localization.
