GOG has announced the availability on PC of the first two installments of the legendary Dino Crisis series, which were released on PlayStation a quarter of a century ago.
Modern players have most likely not heard of it (the last installment was released on Xbox back in 2003), but Dino Crisis was a very popular action game in its time. It was also called "Resident Evil with dinosaurs", which not only aptly described its gameplay, but also had an additional meaning: the first part, Dino Crisis (1999), was developed by Shinji Mikami, the creator of the Resident Evil series.
GOG promises support for Windows 10/11, increased resolution to "approximately 4K" (1920p), improved video and music playback, and full support for modern controllers including DualSense, DualShock 4, Xbox controllers, etc. A bundle of both games is already available for $8.48.
Along with this release, GOG has announced the launch of a new initiative - the GOG Dreamlist. This is not just another name for "Wish List" as it may seem, but a real user vote on which classic games they want to see on GOG free of DRM.
Currently, Black & White, Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection, Freelancer and other classics - personally, we urge you to vote for the excellent shooter The Operative: No One Lives Forever, which is not available in any digital store.
