OpenAI CEO Sam Altman shared his opinion on social network X about the Chinese artificial intelligence model DeepSeek, which recently surpassed ChatGPT in popularity.
He welcomed the new competitor and noted that their model impresses with a wide range of features for the price. However, OpenAI still provides much better models.

Altman said that the demand for AI functions will only grow, so it is important for companies to have the appropriate computing power.

By the way, OpenAI has recently become one of the main investors in the Stargate project, an initiative to create next-generation data centers for AI. The project starts with an investment of $100 billion, with the potential to increase to $500 billion over the next four years.
