Google will update the names of the Gulf of Mexico and Mount Denali on Google Maps as soon as the changes are made to the US federal mapping database in accordance with the Trump administration's order. This was reported by TechCrunch.
The names will be changed completely only for residents of the United States. Geographical objects that are the subject of disputes between countries are displayed on Google Maps under the official names of each country for its citizens. Users from other countries will see both names side by side.
We’ve received a few questions about naming within Google Maps. We have a longstanding practice of applying name changes when they have been updated in official government sources.

Mount Denali, the highest point in North America, will once again be called Mount McKinley. The peak in Alaska was named in honor of the 25th President of the United States, William McKinley, in 1917. In 2015, during the Obama administration, it was renamed Denali. However, the Trump administration decided to restore the previous name, despite the objections of some Alaskan senators.
As for the Gulf of Mexico, it will be renamed the Gulf of America.
