Windows 11 will get an improved battery indicator
Microsoft has released a new test build of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26120.3000 on the Dev Channel. According to the official announcement, the only new feature, in addition to bug fixes and improvements, is an improved laptop battery indicator in the system tray.
For example, it has multi-colored icons to visualize battery modes: green means that the laptop is charging, yellow means that it is running on battery power saving mode, which automatically turns on when the charge drops to 20%, and red means that the charge level is dangerously low and the laptop needs to be connected to the mains as soon as possible.
This build also adds the ability to display the charge level as a percentage next to the indicator, which Microsoft says was a feature that was highly requested by insiders and customers. You can enable it in the system settings: Settings > Power & battery.
