GSC Game World has released the first patch for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl in 2025, numbered 1.1.4. The list of fixes is quite short, but the fixes themselves are very important. First of all, the developers claim that they finally managed to fix the problems with shader compilation, which were very annoying.
List of fixes:
- Fixed freezes and crashes on shader compilation
- Fixed memory leaks in Rostock
- Fixed performance degradation during shooting and aiming on saves during long games
- Fixes have been implemented that should resolve an issue that causes saves to be lost on Xbox
- Fixed crash when interacting with UI
It is also claimed that the developers are currently working on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl issue with a missing DLL file message after the game's Microsoft Store version crashes. According to the developers, it's not a DLL file issue, but just an incorrect error message, so there's no need to try to install DLL files manually.
