Unfortunately, there is currently no exact information on what exactly Apple plans to use the miniature cameras in the headphones for. Probably, they will be responsible for improving the experience of spatial sound together with the Apple Vision Pro headset.
Cameras could also potentially allow for gesture control of headphones.
According to preliminary data, Apple may start mass production of AirPods with cameras in 2026, and their release is expected in 2026 or 2027.
