Microsoft may release compact versions of Surface Laptop and Surface Pro

Microsoft may release new compact Surface devices based on Snapdragon X processors. This is reported by Windows Central.

We are talking about Surface Laptop and Surface Pro 2-in-1 with diagonals of 11-12 inches. It is reported that the new devices will have cheaper chipsets, such as Snapdragon X Plus or Snapdragon X, which Qualcomm introduced at CES 2025.

The new Surface will retain the premium design characteristic of the previous devices in the series. According to anonymous sources, Surface Pro will be a competitor to the 11-inch iPad Pro. The new models are expected to cost around $800-$900.

By the way, Microsoft will hold the Surface for Business event at the end of January, where it will present Surface Laptop 7 and Surface Pro 11 CoPilot Plus with Intel Lunar Lake chips. It is possible that smaller Surface devices will also be shown at the presentation.
