Google has announced new features for the voice mode of its Gemini Live chatbot that will allow you to communicate with it and ask questions about photos, YouTube videos, and various files. In addition, the company introduced several improvements to the AI capabilities of Pixel smartphones.
Owners of the Pixel 9, and later the Pixel 6 and later models, will be able to upload pictures and files to Gemini Live and chat with the chatbot about their content or get a response based on what they see.
Users will also be able to share links to YouTube and receive video analysis, explanations of certain points, etc. from the chatbot.
In addition, the company announced that the Gemini app on Pixel will be the first to support Project Astra, a multi-module model capable of analyzing any information that the user shows.
In addition, Gemini Advanced subscribers now have access to the Deep Research feature, which greatly simplifies and speeds up the research process. The chatbot will review hundreds of websites and generate a report with the main findings, organized with links to the original sources.
Google is also adding the controversial AI Overview feature to Circle to Search, which was first introduced for the search engine. Thanks to this feature, users will be able to quickly get additional information about any selected object.
In addition, Circle to Search will make it easier to perform various actions, such as opening links, making calls, or going to the mail app to write an email.
