Ryan Gosling may appear in the next Star Wars movie

Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling, known for his roles in Drive, Barbie, and Blade Runner 2049, is in talks to take part in a new project in the Star Wars franchise. This was reported by the Hollywood Reporter.

Ryan Gosling may become one of the main actors in a new project from director Shawn Levy, whose last film was Deadpool & Wolverine. Levy has been working on a feature-length Star Wars movie since 2022.

Jonathan Tropper, who has worked with Levy on such films as The Adam Project and This is Where I Leave You, has been writing the script for over a year. Levy is also producing the film through his company 21 Laps.

Details about the movie are still scarce. Apart from the fact that Gosling may star in it, it is also known that it will be a movie independent of the Skywalker saga.

If the deal with Gosling goes through, the film, directed by Levy, will immediately go into production and become not only the director's next project, but also the next installment of the Star Wars franchise. The film is likely to be released after The Mandalorian and Grogu, which will premiere on May 22, 2026.
