On the eve of the Real-Time Strategy Festival, a page and demo version of Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition, an updated version of the classic fortress-building strategy game Stronghold Crusader (2002) by Firefly Studios.
The original Stronghold Crusader is the second installment of the famous Stronghold series, set in the Middle East during the Crusades. Stronghold Crusader was released in 2002 and has already received one Extreme update in 2008.
But after the success of Stronghold: Definitive Edition, which was released in 2023, was well received by players and sold more than 500 thousand copies, Firefly Studios decided to update Stronghold Crusader.
Fans of the series can expect improved graphics, two completely new campaigns, four new AI enemies, and 8 new units of the Bedouin faction.
Stronghold: Definitive Edition is scheduled for release on July 15, 2025, and will feature textual Ukrainian localization. In the meantime, you can try out the Steam demo and add the game to your Wish List.
