The Ukrainian game The Demons Told Me to Make This Game, whose authors were inspired by such projects as Disco Elysium and Slay the Princess, has a new story trailer.

The new trailer introduces players to the strange inhabitants of the gloomy town of Red Gables, where the game takes place, including the bumbling heroes Gam and Tap, the mysterious Beekeeper, the suspiciously friendly Mrs. Doomsday, and Father Benjamin and his gun.

In The Demons Told Me to Make This Game, you become a disembodied spirit who has to help a group of inexperienced exorcists during a demon invasion in a small American town. Players can't interact with the physical world of the game, but instead will whisper thoughts to the characters, forcing them to make unnatural and gruesome decisions, and sometimes even die.

Gameplay-wise, The Demons Told Me to Make This Game is a narrative puzzle game with elements of adventuring and role-playing. The plot is divided into a series of time loops, in each of which players can experiment with interconnected events to find a way to save all the main characters.

Developers from Kyiv-based studio Haunted Dude emphasize that the game will have Ukrainian text localization. The corresponding mark has already appeared on the game's updated Steam page.

The release of The Demons Told Me to Make This Game is scheduled for 2025, but for now, the game can be added to the Wish List. As a reminder, this helps to promote Ukrainian games on Steam.
