Google has not yet released the Pixel 9a, but rumors are already circulating about the Pixel 10a, which will be released in 2026. Probably, this smartphone will be equipped with a Tensor G4 processor due to the high cost of the upcoming G5, according to Android Authority.
The decision to use Tensor G4 for the third year in a row (in 2024 for Pixel 9, in 2025 for Pixel 9a, in 2026 for Pixel 10a) will result in the Pixel 10a having fewer features than the main Pixel 10 series. This will be because many of the features of the Pixel 10 series, particularly for the camera, will be powered by the more powerful and expensive Tensor G5.
Despite the lack of a final decision, Google has not yet determined which chip will be used in the Pixel 10a. If the choice falls on a new processor, it will probably be a special version of Tensor G5, optimized to reduce the cost of the smartphone while maintaining the proper level of performance for a mid-budget device.
If the company decides to use Tensor G4, the upcoming Pixel 10a will most likely not get new camera features, such as a tool for easy video editing using artificial intelligence, the ability to turn sketches into drawings, photo editing functions, and others.
At the same time, we remind you that at the end of 2024 , many details about the upcoming Pixel 9a appeared, which will also receive a Tensor G4 chip and will start at $499.
