On his first day in office, US President Donald Trump canceled former President Joe Biden's 2023 decree to reduce the risks of artificial intelligence. This was reported by Reuters.

The executive order required developers of AI systems that could pose risks to U.S. national security, economy, public health, or safety to share the results of security tests with the U.S. government before they are made public.

It also obliged to establish standards for such tests and to take into account the chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and cybersecurity risks associated with them.

Representatives of the Republican Party criticized Biden's executive order, arguing that its requirements are burdensome and effectively force companies to disclose their trade secrets.

During his campaign, Trump promised that he would "support the development of artificial intelligence based on free speech and human prosperity," but did not go into details.

By the way, Trump also signed a decree postponing the ban on TikTok for 75 days and initiated the creation of the DOGE advisory commission led by Elon Musk.
