Despite the fact that Windows 10 is coming to the end of its life cycle (its support ends in October this year), Microsoft still continues to add new features to it. Which no one seems to have asked for.
For example, user X under the nickname @phantomofearth noticed that the latest release of Windows 10 Build 19045.5435, which appeared in the Release Preview channel a few days ago, also received an updated system tray calendar, among other innovations.
In this month's episode of "Windows 10 keeps getting new features": a rich calendar experience in the system tray, with holiday illustrations and weather forecasts - at the cost of a clock with seconds. (19045.5435) https://t.co/BSaRV5SaCc pic.twitter.com/cG0qtBBxDi

"At the cost of a clock with seconds," he said, this mini-calendar can now show the current weather forecast, holidays and events from the calendar, and miniature images for the holidays-for example, for February 14, it displays roses and hearts.
It's a bit strange to see how Microsoft continues to improve the calendar in an operating system that has only a few months left to live, while the same calendar in Windows 11 has remained in its original state with virtually no functionality since the release of this OS in 2021. For example, users still can't add new events to the system calendar through this window, or even see the existing ones.
