The first demonstration of the next iPhone operating system is less than six months away. However, work on it is underway, even despite the problematic launch of Apple Intelligence. And now, the first insights are beginning to appear, which could theoretically tell us something about the next major updates in iOS 19.

If such changes do make it to the final version, it will be a significant update to the app that will allow it to stand out from the competition (after all, the vast majority of native smartphone camera apps from different manufacturers are very similar).
Prosser also suggested that such changes to the camera app could either be part of the overall redesign of iOS 19, which would be the largest update since iOS 7, or something similar would "affect" other native apps in the system.
However, it is worth remembering that there is still a lot of time before the first public demonstration, and Apple is most likely testing many different design options for both individual applications and the entire system. Therefore, such rumors should be treated with a certain amount of skepticism.
