The upcoming OPPO Find N5 foldable smartphone will have a thickness when unfolded, similar to a USB-C port. In addition, the device will provide the best water protection in the class, and its official announcement in China is scheduled for next month.
OPPO has posted several images on the Chinese social network Weibo, which can be used to draw conclusions about the thickness of the device. In these photos, the Find N5 looks half as thin as the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is 8.25 millimeters thick.
In addition to the iPhone, the thickness of the Find N5 has also been compared to two Chinese coins, four ID cards, or 39 stickers. The published images show that the smartphone is almost equal to the thickness of the Type-C port.
Currently, one of the thinnest folding smartphones on the market is the Honor Mgaic V3, which is 4.35 millimeters thick, and OPPO's smartphone will be even thinner, probably up to 4 millimeters. This result was achieved in only one smartphone - the triple-folding Huawei Mate XT.
In addition, the results of the Geekbench test of the new OPPO smartphone have also appeared on the network. According to these results, the device will receive a 7-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with two 4.32 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix L cores and five 3.53 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix M cores.
Currently, the fate of OPPO Find N5 outside of China remains unknown. The company may release a global version under its own brand, or it may introduce OnePlus Open 2, which will most likely have the same specifications and design.
