Competitor of CapCut: Meta has announced a mobile editor for video Edits

Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri posted on Threads that the app will be launched next month on iOS, with an Android version coming later. He added that the company is working with selected creators to get feedback on Edits.

“Today we’re announcing a new app called “Edits,” for those of you who are passionate about making videos on your phone. There’s a lot going on right now, but no matter what happens it’s our job to provide the best possible tools for creators,” he wrote.

Mosseri noted that the app will have a set of creative tools, including a special tab for inspiration, a tab for tracking ideas, and a high-quality camera. In addition, it will allow you to share drafts of your work with friends. He also added that creators will be able to see how videos created with Edits perform on Instagram after they are published.
