For each generation of Galaxy flagships, Samsung creates a new version of the branded Over the Horizon ringtone. For the Galaxy S25, the ringtone received a jazz cover.
The arrangement of 2025 includes the dynamic rhythms and melodic harmony of big band jazz. The author of the composition is a pianist and composer from Los Angeles, Jacob Mann.
The idea behind the jazz tune is to remind you of "an ideal day and a hopeful future," Samsung writes.
"The music begins with the soft piano melodies of the morning and transitions to the vibrant energy of a night out in the city," comments the composer.
Traditionally, Over the Horizon is a reflection of what's trendy through the lens of Korean culture. Last year's ringtone was inspired by traditional Korean music, in 2023 it was a track by Korean-born electronic artist Yaeji, and in 2022 the ringtone was created by SUGA, a member of the wildly popular Korean boy band BTS.
