Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' company Blue Origin has launched a New Glenn space rocket from Cape Canaveral in Florida. This is reported by The Verge.
The NG-1 rocket launched into space, delivering the second stage and payload into orbit, thus successfully completing the Blue Origin mission.

The first stage of the rocket was able to autonomously descend to the landing platform in the Atlantic Ocean. The team says that the launch vehicle lost contact with control and stopped sending data, but was still able to land.
The New Glenn has about the same payload as SpaceX's Falcon Heavy and is designed to deliver cargo to space on a reusable rocket platform.
