After October 14, 2025, Microsoft 365 office apps will no longer receive updates on Windows 10 as the company ends support for the operating system. At the same time, Microsoft reminds that Windows 10 users can upgrade to Windows 11 for free if their computers meet the system requirements.

In a new blog post, the company notes that it will completely stop supporting all Microsoft 365 programs, such as Word, Excle, PowerPoint, Outlook, and others. The blog also notes that to use these programs, you need to upgrade to Windows 11.

Despite Microsoft's aggressive system upgrade policy, the popularity of Windows 10 even increased to 62.7% by the end of 2024, while the share of Windows 11 dropped to 34.12% from 34.94%.

This problem arises, in particular, because many devices do not meet the requirements for the update, but Microsoft has found a solution and advises users to purchase new Copilot+ computers.
