Xiaomi has introduced the global versions of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 14 Pro smartphones. The smartphones have 200-megapixel cameras and a set of Xiaomi and Google AI features.
The flagship model Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G is the only one to receive a Qualcomm chip, namely Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. In addition, the smartphone is equipped with a 5110 mAh battery with support for the fastest 120W charging among all Note 14 models.
The smartphone has a 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display with a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. The screen is also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 in addition to IP68 water and dust protection.
Also on the front, Redmi Note 14 Pro+ has a 20-megapixel front camera. At the back there are three lenses - the main one is 200 MP with support for optical stabilization (OIS), f/1.65 aperture and 1/1.4" sensor size. Then there's an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro lens.
The smartphone comes out of the box with HyperOS based on Android 14 and a set of AI features from both Xiaomi and Google. The flagship version will be available in Midnight Black, Lavender Purple, and Frost Blue colors with three memory options - 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS2.2, 12/256 GB, or 12/512 GB storage. The price of the initial version is $449.
The second best in terms of power and features is the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, which will be available in Midnight Black, Lavender Purple, and Coral Green colors at a starting price of $399. This device has the same screen, camera setup, and memory options as the flagship model, but there are some differences.
First of all, it has a different processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ulta, and a slightly smaller set of artificial intelligence functions. The Note 14 Pro 5G retains the same battery capacity as the larger model, but the charging power has been reduced to 45 watts. This is where the differences between the two premium models end.
More differences can be seen in the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G model. First, the smartphone has a lower-quality 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a peak brightness of 1800 nits. However, this model retains 120 Hz and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. However, you need to be a little more careful with the device, because it also has slightly worse water protection - IP64.
Inside the Note 14 Pro 4G is the least powerful processor among the three - MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra. However, the battery has increased to 5500 mAh. Charging remains the same as in the 5G model and is 45 watts.
In addition, this model has received other memory options - 8/128 GB, 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, and 12/512 GB with the ability to increase storage using an external memory card up to 1 TB. Among other changes, the smartphone also received fewer AI features. In particular, it won't support Circle to Search and most of Xiaomi's AI features.
Such sacrifices in characteristics are justified by the cost of the device - for the minimum model of Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G you will have to pay $299, $100 less than for the 5G version. The smartphone will be available in Midnight Black, Aurora Purple, and Ocean Blue colors.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro series is not the only new product that Xiaomi has introduced. Earlier, we also wrote about the regular version of the Redmi Note 14, as well as the Redmi Watch 5 smartwatch and Redmi Buds 6 Pro headphones. To recharge all these devices, the company also introduced a 165-watt power bank.
