Marvel Rivals, a new cooperative team-based shooter from China's NetEase Games, has reached 644,269 simultaneous players on Steam just one day after the launch of its first season, according to SteamDB.
The first season of the game started on Friday, January 10, and the next day, on Saturday, January 11, the game set its own record for online sales on Steam.
Since the beginning of the first season, Marvel Rivals has added two new playable characters – Mr. Fantastic, also known as Reed Richards, and the Invisible Lady Sue Storm. Both characters are part of the Fantastic Four team. The Human Torch and the Creature will appear later.
Also, with the release of the first part of the first season, two new maps appeared in the game - Sanctum Sanctorum and Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown. Another map, Central Park, will appear in the second part. In addition, the game has a battle pass that contains much more content than the Season 0 pass.
We remind you that Marvel Rivals was released on December 6, 2024. Just three days after the release, NetEase Games announced that more than 10 million people had played the game.
