Bloomberg's Mark Gurman has revealed the release dates of HomePod mini 2 and a new version of Apple TV.
According to the insider, the new products will debut at the end of 2025. Most likely, the devices will be released between September and November. Perhaps the gadgets will be shown along with the iPhone 17 line.
The new devices will be part of Apple's updated smart home strategy. They will be equipped with a combined Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip from Apple that will support Wi-Fi 6E, which will extend the capabilities of Wi-Fi 6 to 6 GHz when using a compatible router.
Other possible changes for the next Apple TV include a new A-series chip that will provide better performance than the current A15 Bionic chip, a starting price of $99, and a built-in camera for FaceTime video calls.
As for the HomePod mini 2, the update is likely to include a new S-series chip for better performance, improved sound quality, and new colors.
As a reminder, the current version of HomePod mini was released in November 2020 and is equipped with the S5 chip used in the Apple Watch Series 5.
By the way, Mark Gurman also said that in 2025 the American manufacturer will introduce Apple Watch SE 3 and iPad 11 with Apple Intelligence support.
