Audio-Technica brought to CES 2025 a new model of fully wireless headphones ATH-CKS50TW2, which can be noted for a couple of interesting points.
First, their battery life can far exceed the average capabilities of similar models. With the noise cancellation system switched off, they can operate for up to 25 hours on a single charge, according to the manufacturer. ‘Refilling’ with a case will add another 40 hours. That is, the total autonomy is 65 hours.
Even with the ANC system enabled, this figure is still quite impressive - 15 hours of continuous operation, and another 25 hours with charging in the case. Not many popular models are able to provide such autonomy.
The second interesting feature is the Magnetic Switch function. Usually, in order for TWS headphones to switch off or go into standby mode, they need to lie idle for a while or be in a case. Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW2 headphones, on the other hand, can be connected to each other with built-in magnets, and then they will switch off immediately.
Among other things, the model has proprietary 9mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.3, Multipoint and AAC, SBC, LC3 codecs, IP55 water and dust protection, and Qi induction charging support.
Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW2 is already available in the USA in black and beige colours. The price of the new product is $149.
