Keychron announced new keyboards with Hall sensors at CES 2025. The company showed the Lemokey P1 HE QMK costing $169 and the Keychron Q6 HE QMK costing $229, which are already on sale. Three more keyboards will be released later this year, The Verge reports.

Hall-effect switches are characterised by greater customisation and faster response than traditional mechanical switches. They use a magnetic induction sensor on a printed circuit board that detects the depth to which a key is pressed. This allows you to precisely determine the trigger point or configure various functions that are activated depending on the force of the press.

The Lemokey P1 HE QMK is a 75% Bluetooth-enabled, 2.4 GHz keyboard with a 1000 Hz polling frequency. It can operate in both wired and wireless modes and is exclusively compatible with Gateron Double-Rail magnetic switches.

The Keychron Q6 HE is a full-size mechanical keyboard that has similar features and switch compatibility limitations. Both models are available in black and white and feature double-molded PBT keys.

Last year, Keychron introduced its first Hall effect keyboard. Meanwhile, other brands such as Epomaker and Ducky are opting for induction switches, which offer similar analogue functions and consume less power.

By the way, other Keychron models with Hall-effect switches will be launched in the first quarter of 2025.
