Analysts from the research group DFC Intelligence predict that Grand Theft Auto VI will earn $1 billion from pre-orders and over $3 billion during its first year of sales, according to IGN.
The analysts believe that Grand Theft Auto VI will become the most entertaining release of 2025, surpassing all other games and movies released that year. According to DFC Intelligence's forecast, the game's sales will reach $3.2 billion in the first 12 months.
"I never announce victory before it happens. However, I believe Rockstar Games will once again present something absolutely phenomenal… The expectations are certainly high," said Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two.
With the high revenue projections, the budget for Grand Theft Auto VI is also impressive. Analysts estimate that the development cost has already reached $2 billion. Many experts believe that GTA VI will become one of the most significant gaming releases in history.
Recall that the game's release is scheduled for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at the end of 2025. The PC version has not yet been announced and will likely be released later.
