The accident detection feature is already available on Google Pixel smartphones, but it hasn't become widespread among other manufacturers yet. However, that may soon change as Samsung plans to introduce a similar capability to its devices, reports Android Authority.

Documents related to the Galaxy S25 Ultra reveal the inclusion of a new sensor capable of detecting when a user has been involved in an accident. A similar sensor has also been observed in the Galaxy S24 series, Fold 6, and upcoming foldable models.

While accident-detection sensors have been present in Samsung smartphones, the feature has yet to be fully implemented. It seems that the company is still working on refining its integration.

The Car Crash Detect Wakeup sensor in Samsung devices will likely be a composite virtual sensor, processing and combining data from primary physical sensors.

Additionally, it's recently been reported that Galaxy S25 buyers will receive a free year of access to Gemini Advanced, Google's more powerful AI model.
