The OnePlus Open 2 foldable smartphone will soon be announced in China, with a global release expected in the first quarter. However, as is often the case, many details about the device have already leaked online ahead of the official announcement.
The new smartphone will be slightly larger than its predecessor but thinner. Like the first-generation foldable, the camera module will also be circular and feature a triple-lens Hasselblad system.
The folded thickness of the OnePlus Open 2 will be 10 millimeters. It is also reported that the smartphone will feature water and dust resistance with an IPX8 rating, which is a significant improvement over the IPX4 rating found in the first-generation model.
Additionally, the new foldable smartphone will have an 8-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. The outer display will be 6.4 inches. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage.
In addition to this, the specifications for the cameras of the OnePlus Open 2 have been revealed. The smartphone will feature a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens. A 32MP front-facing camera will be positioned on the display.
