The Odyssey, as previously mentioned, is an ancient Greek epic poem written by Homer. It tells the story of Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, and his adventures, including his 40-day journey home after the Trojan War and his quest for revenge against the suitors vying for his wife’s hand. It remains unclear how closely Christopher Nolan will adhere to the original material in his adaptation.
