The farm began using a robotic platform from the Mars rover, which was offered to them by Boston Dynamics. This platform allows them to perform work in the greenhouse without damaging the plants.
The robot is used together with people: workers collect the produce, and the platform gradually takes it out of the greenhouse, which makes the work much easier. The robot is also used for spraying, planting, and weeding.
Nevertheless, there are still several types of work in the greenhouse that are difficult to automate, such as tying, pinching, and breaking off. However, in the future, machines will be able to perform these tasks as well.
