Mafia: The Old Country, the new Hangar 13 game announced in August 2024, received a new trailer at The Game Awards 2024. It introduces us to the story of the protagonist Enzo Favara, who joins a criminal family in 1900s Sicily.
The game's storyline will take players into a brutal criminal underworld where they will engage in dangerous battles and high-risk encounters using a wide arsenal of firearms. Players will be able to move between locations on horseback or driving cars authentic to the era.
The developers also noted that Mafia: The Old Country is a linear game with a focus on the plot. The protagonist, Enzo, went through a childhood of forced labor in the horrific sulfur mines of Sicily before fate gave him the chance to join the Don Torrisi crime family.
Enzo will be forced to do whatever it takes to make a better life and future for himself. Having sworn an oath to the Torrisi family, he must abide by their code of honor, with all the difficulties that entails. From now on, he will have to live with one simple truth in mind: family demands sacrifice.
Mafia: The Old City will be released in summer 2025 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The game can already be added to your wish list on any of the platforms. This is also the first game in the series to receive a textual Ukrainian localization.
