Bloomberg journalist and insider Mark Gurman shared some details about Apple's next top smartwatch.
We are talking about Apple Watch Ultra 3. According to a new report, the device will receive satellite communication. Apple first introduced satellite communication for off-network texting in the iPhone 14. Then this feature was introduced in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16.
This will allow users to send texts and ask for help while off-the-grid.

By the way, when satellite communication was first launched, it was limited to text messages about emergencies, but in iOS 18, Apple expanded its capabilities, allowing users to send texts to anyone.
Apple hopes that the new feature will encourage Apple Watch owners to upgrade to the new model, the third generation of which is due out in September 2025. Satellite communication will also allow Apple to better compete with companies such as Garmin, which produce special satellite equipment for use in off-grid emergencies.
