Samsung has released the first beta version of One UI 7 with improved AI functions, simplified management, changes in appearance, and other innovations.
The update is currently available for Galaxy S24 series devices in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The official release will take place with the release of the Galaxy S25 line and will be extended to other devices later.
In One UI 7, Samsung focuses on artificial intelligence, in particular Galaxy AI features. The company has expanded the tools for writing texts. Users will have quick access to functions such as summarizing text, changing the style, checking spelling and grammar, and automatically generating bulleted notes.
The update also includes an automatic call recording feature that supports 20 languages, but not yet Ukrainian. Once this feature is activated, calls are automatically transcribed for later use. Recordings and transcriptions will be available in the list of recent calls. You can disable the feature in the settings.
One UI 7, in addition to introducing artificial intelligence, also focuses on simplifying the design and user interface. The update includes a new notification system that facilitates communication with easy access from the lock screen. It also gets the Now Bar, which shows the corresponding actions of various functions or apps, such as playing music, translating, recording audio, etc.
The company says it plans to introduce Now Bar to future Galaxy S series devices. This will change the look of the lock screen, which will continue to be improved.
In addition, One UI 7 simplified the home screen, updated the design of widgets, and added personalization options for applications.
In keeping with the theme of refreshing the look and feel, One UI 7 also introduces a redesigned camera interface. Buttons, controls, and camera modes have been reorganized to make them easier to find.
The layout of the manual settings has also been simplified in Pro and Pro video modes. When recording video in Pro mode, a new zoom control is now available to control the zoom speed for smooth transitions.
