Soon, Tesla will allow Apple Watch users to control their electric car using the watchOS app. The company announced this on the social network X.
The app will be released by the end of December 2024. With it, Apple Watch owners will be able to use their watch as a digital key.
The upcoming watchOS app will allow you to unlock or lock your car, open the trunk, check the battery status, and adjust climate control settings.
By the way, Tesla owners can currently also use some of these features on Apple Watch, but only through third-party apps such as Watch for Tesla.
The official Tesla app will appear on watchOS after the main iPhone app is updated.
