The third-person shooter Dark Sector from the Canadian studio Digital Extremes can be added to your Steam library for free until November 30, 2024.
Dark Sector, which was released in 2008-2009 on Windows PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 and combines elements and stylistics of Resident Evil 4 and Gears of War. Later, Digital Extremes took some elements of the Dark Sector setting, such as the same hero costume, and created its own online game-service Warframe based on them, which the studio has been successfully developing since 2013.
Dark Sector takes place at the end of the Cold War in an alternate reality in the USSR satellite country of Lazria. The game did not become a super hit, but it received generally favorable reviews.
