It has already become typical for Audi: after the release of the main model, it is the turn of its more stylish and dynamic variant to launch. And so it is this time: shortly after the debut of the new generation Audi Q5 crossover, we now meet a more dynamic variant called the Audi Q5 Sportback.
The new Audi Q5 Sportback can be described in one phrase: it starts as an Audi Q5 and ends with a teardrop-shaped roof silhouette and a new trunk lid. The interior is also familiar: a front panel with the ability to accommodate three displays, contour lighting, a new steering wheel and a miniature joystick for the automatic transmission.
The new Audi Q5 Sportback crossover, like the main Audi Q5 model, is based on the new PWC platform and is equipped with modern MHEV hybrid engines. First, we are talking about a 2-liter TSI gasoline engine with 204 hp - this car can be equipped with front or all-wheel drive.
Secondly, a 2-liter TSI diesel engine of similar power is also available, but in this case, the new Audi SQ5 Sportback will immediately offer all-wheel drive.
Finally, the third option is the Audi SQ5 Sportback sports crossover.
As a top-of-the-line model, the Audi SQ5 Sportback offers the best of everything at once: modified exterior styling and four exhaust tips, black and red interior trim with sports seats, and most importantly, a powerful 367-horsepower TFSI gasoline V6 under the hood!
Audi is not going to wait long with the launch of the new model. Sales of the Audi Q5 Sportback and Audi SQ5 Sportback will start in Europe in December 2024. The cost of the cars is also known: the Audi Q5 Sportback crossover starts at 54,800 euros, the Audi SQ5 Sportback sports version starts at 85,400 euros.
