Samsung will not use the Exynos 2500 in the upcoming Galaxy S25 series due to production issues. Nevertheless, the company does not plan to completely abandon its own chip and will use it in future foldable smartphones, according to Android Headlines.
The Galaxy S25 will be released in January 2025, and Samsung did not have time to solve all the problems with the production of the Exynos 2500. Therefore, it was decided to use only Snapdragon 8 Elite chips.
At the same time, the release of new foldable smartphones, Galaxy Flip and Galaxy Fold, will take place in mid-2025, and the company will have enough time to resolve all issues by then. Insiders say that these smartphones will be equipped with the Exynos 2500 chip.
According to leaks, the Exynos 2500 will have a 10-core CPU architecture divided into 3 clusters: 3 Cortex-X925 cores, 5 Cortex-A725 cores, and 2 Cortex-A520 cores. In addition to this, it will have an Xclipse 950 GPU.
By the way, Samsung is preparing to introduce in 2025 not only Galaxy Fold 7 and Galaxy Flip 7, but also a triple folding smartphone, as well as Galaxy Fold 7 FE and Galaxy Flip 7 FE. Exynos chips will be used in all models.
