Brave Search, the search engine from the developers of the Brave browser, has a new feature that will help users get more information about their search queries by talking to a chatbot.
In early 2024, the company launched the AI Answer feature, which places artificial intelligence results at the top of search results. Thanks to the new update, users will be able to ask clarifying questions immediately, which will transfer them to a chatbot for further interaction.
Among other things, Brave Search emphasizes user privacy. The company says it does not create user profiles or store queries. Further clarifying questions to artificial intelligence will not be stored either.
To provide answers, the company uses large open-source language models and its own developments, as well as results from Brave Search. According to the official blog, this allows the search engine to substantiate answers in real-time search results, significantly reducing the likelihood of AI hallucinations.
The AI Answer feature is enabled by default, but you can turn it off in the settings. You will be able to access AI answers through a special button in the search bar.
Unfortunately, AI search does not yet support Ukrainian and does not provide automatic answers, but they can be generated separately in English using the button mentioned above.
