Signal adds new features for calls and makes them more similar to Zoom and Google Meet. This was reported by The Verge.
Previously, calls in Signal worked like in other messengers. That is, by clicking on the phone icon in the chat. Now you can create a link to the call and send it to Signal and beyond. This link can also be reused, which can be useful for recurring work meetings or weekly chats with family.
There are also emoji reactions and a "raise your hand" button so that the other person can see that you want to say something. The app also now has a tab for tracking calls, which can be useful if you want to review your history.
The new calling features are already available in the latest version of Signal for Android, iOS, and PC.
