Intel may release new Arc Battlemage desktop graphics processors in December 2024. This was reported by Chinese insider Golden Pig Upgrade Pack.

According to the leak, Battlemage will use Intel's Xe2-HPG architecture, a derivative of Xe2-LPG, which can be seen in the latest Intel Core Ultra 200V (Lunar Lake) processors.

The insider's report contradicts Intel's previous official statements that the development of its own GPUs is seen as a failed experiment. But on the other hand, the company could have decided not to abandon the monetization of an already finished product.

As far as we know, the Battlemage will be supplied in three versions: Arc BMG-31, Arc BMG-20, and Arc BMG-G10. There were also reports of an unannounced Arc Battlemage with 32 Xe2 cores, probably the flagship.

GPUs will be focused on the budget segment, similar to the upcoming AMD RDNA 4 GPUs. NVIDIA will continue to dominate the premium segment.
