Amazon MGM will release a series based on Mass Effect games. It is not yet known what the show will be about, the script has not even been written yet. The Variety writes about it.
The adaptation will be written and executive produced by Daniel Casey. Ari Arad and Michael Gamble from EA will be involved in the production. In addition, Amazon MGM has signed a contract with Cedar Tree Productions, headed by Kareem Zraik.
The first reports of negotiations between Amazon and EA to create a Mass Effect series were back in 2021, but there have been no updates on the project since then. There have also been various attempts to create a full-length movie based on the games, but none of them were successful.
Daniel Casey has worked on screenplays for F9: The Fast Saga, Kin, and 10 Cloverfield Lane.
Before starting his own company, Kareem Zraik was the head of Marvel's television division. During his tenure at Marvel, he was an executive producer of such popular series as Daredevil, Marvel's Jessica Jones, The Punisher, and many others.
