Anthropic has announced a Mac and Windows version of Claude chatbot. It can be downloaded for free from the official website.

The app doesn't differ much from the web version: you can still ask questions, access old chats, and view pinned conversations.
Last week, Anthropic reported that the company was teaching artificial intelligence how to use a computer by moving the cursor, pressing buttons, and entering text. However, this feature is not yet available in the app.
Other AI chatbots, such as OpenAI's ChatGPT and Perplexity's search chatbot, already have desktop apps, and Microsoft Copilot is even built into Windows 11.
