Our colleagues at Android Headlines have published detailed specifications, price, and release dates for the Google Pixel 9a smartphone.
It is known that the Pixel 9a will have a 6.3-inch Actua display, the same size as the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, which were released in August 2024. It will be adaptive. That is, it will be able to automatically switch from 60 Hz to 120 Hz.
Pixel 9a will also run on the Tensor G4 chipset. The smartphone will have 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. The device will come with a 5000 mAh battery. This is about 11% larger than the Pixel 8a, but on the other hand, the Pixel 9a also has a larger screen. The bad news is that the Pixel 9a's charging speeds will remain the same as before - 18W wired and 7.5W wireless.
As for the camera, it will have three sensors: a dual 48 MP + 13 MP main camera and a single 13-megapixel front-facing camera.
Pixel 9a will measure 154.7×73.3×8.9 mm and weigh 186 g. For comparison, the Pixel 8a weighs 188 g.
Pixel 9a is expected to be released in March 2025. The novelty will cost $499. This is $300 less than the Pixel 9 and $500 less than the Pixel 9 Pro.
By the way, Google has recently started selling refurbished Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 at a discount of up to $360.
