The Paris Motor Show has already started its work, and this means that we will see a lot of new products. One of the first is the updated version of the Citroen C4.
As is often the case with intermediate restyles, the new Citroen C4 hatchback has redesigned headlights, front bumper, grille and oval logo. In other words, the car has actually received a completely new "face" in the company's modern design style. There are fewer changes at the rear, but they are still present: new headlights with triple elements, the inscription "Citroen" on the trunk lid instead of the logo.
Interestingly, the Citroen C4 X sedan has similarly changed in the front, but has hardly changed in the rear - the previous trunk lid and lights have been retained, and the logo has been updated. New wheels were added to both the Citroen C4 and Citroen C4 X.
The technical changes include support for the V2L system for electric versions and an almost complete rejection of conventional engines in favor of hybrids, which first appeared earlier this year. Moreover, there will be more hybrids now, as Citroen C4 will be offered with two versions of the hybrid powertrain: Hybrid 100 and Hybrid 136, where the number indicates the power output. Both hybrids are built as a combination of a 1.2-liter turbo engine, an electric motor and a 6-speed robot transmission. In the European market, these hybrids will displace diesel engines and conventional gasoline engines. However, in some markets (such as Ukraine), we can still expect to see conventional gasoline engines remain in the range alongside the launch of new hybrids.
There are also noticeable changes in the cabin. The updated Citroen C4 received new seats made with the proprietary Advanced Comfort technology and a new design in the form of rectangles. Another important change is the appearance of a full 7-inch digital instrument panel instead of the small screen used before. Finally, a steering wheel with a new logo was added.
The updated Citroen C4 and Citroen C4 X will be available for purchase soon - at the end of this year or at the beginning of next year, depending on the country of sale. Closer to the start of sales, the exact price will also be announced.
