Samsung stops updating the software of the Galaxy Fold 2 folding smartphone. The gadget has disappeared from the list of supported devices.
This means that smartphone users will no longer receive monthly and quarterly security updates. As for the last Android OS update, it was released in 2023. It was Android 13 with the One UI 5.1.1 interface.
By the way, Galaxy Fold 2 debuted in August 2020 with Android 10 on board. Since then, the gadget has received three major updates to the operating system.
As a reminder, Galaxy Fold 2 comes with two screens, a Snapdragon 865 5G+ chip, a triple main camera, a side fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and a 4500 mAh battery.
