Photos and videos of an unannounced 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip continue to appear on the Internet. This is Apple's biggest information leak in 14 years, and the Russians are to blame.
Russian tech bloggers are posting videos of a new Apple laptop being unboxed. The videos show a box for a 14-inch MacBook Pro, which is equipped with an M4 chip with a 10-core processor and a 10-core GPU, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, and the Space Black color.
We do not provide links or names of the Russian channels in question to avoid unnecessary advertising for them.
Given that this computer has a standard M4 chip, not an M4 Pro or M4 Max, it is most likely an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro. If the information is confirmed, it means that the minimum amount of RAM for the MacBook Pro line will be doubled from 8 GB to 16 GB.
Photos of the new MacBook Pro's box were first postedby insider ShrimpApplePro on social network X last week. At the time, users reacted to the leak with skepticism because the box design repeats the design of the current generation, which is atypical for Apple.
More photos of it confirmed it’s real. Apparently it is on sale in a private Facebook group lmao https://t.co/eSoXY5NHg9 pic.twitter.com/lxW9rbilSE

The source of these leaks is unclear. ShrimpApplePro claims to have seen two hundred of these laptops for sale in a private Facebook group. Perhaps the Russians bought these MacBook Pros, or Apple continues to operate in the Russian market and handed the gadgets to bloggers before the official announcement.
I saw some seller said they have 200 units of M4 Macbook Pro in stock.
This is probably the biggest warehouse leakage I’ve ever seen.

This is probably the biggest warehouse leakage I’ve ever seen.Apple is well known for its culture of secrecy, so leaks of this magnitude for its products are rare. The last such case was in 2010, when a company employee accidentally left a prototype iPhone 4 in a bar.
By the way, according to Bloomberg journalist and insider Mark Gurman, the presentation of the new MacBook Pro and other Apple products will take place on November 1, 2024 (Friday).
