During GeekedWeek, Netflix showed a teaser trailer for a new animated show based on the Splinter Cell games. The trailer shows the main character Sam Fisher, played by actor Liev Schreiber, who has repeatedly expressed his support for Ukrainians and even received the Order of Merit for his significant contribution to the popularization of the Ukrainian state in the world.
The show will be called Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. The screenplay was written by Derek Kolstad, the screenwriter of the John Wick movie series. The project is part of a collaboration between Netflix and Ubisoft. As part of this partnership, the company has already released the Captain Laserhawk series and is preparing another animated series based on the Assassin's Creed games.
The premiere date of Splinter Cell: Deathwatch is still unknown, but the teaser says it's coming soon.
